Not sure that this is of any consequence, but I have IOMMU disabled enabled in my BIOS settings, since without that half of my USB ports do not work.

So, please account for that in your solutions. The onboard ethernet controller is incompatible with Ubuntu as well, and the attempts that I have made to fix that are a whole another story (question!).
